Port Wakefield’s future dependent on State Election result

THE fate of Port Wakefield’s fishing community hangs in the balance of Saturday’s state election.
A Labor victory will result in planned Marine Park Sanctuary Zones for the Upper Gulf St Vincent to come into force by October, potentially wiping out most of the commercial fishing viability in the town and limiting recreational fishing areas.
