17 years: Commitment to a tea

Denise Ogilvy of Orroroo has baked more sausage rolls, cakes and other delights than she can even keep track of as host of one of Australia’s Biggest Morning Teas for Cancer for the past 17 consecutive
years.

She has also seen more family and friends affected by cancer in that time than anyone would want to, and most sadly, lost her husband Jeff to the disease in November last year.

But if anything, at a time when it would have been easy for her to hang up the apron, Denise is more determined than ever to do her bit to raise funds for research to help find a cure for cancer and help families affected by the disease.

“Jeff was diagnosed with cancer in April last year and he passed away in November,” Denise says.
