Some special things happened 100 years ago.
Mill Court resident, Ella Wilkins, turned 100 on January 20 and celebrated with an afternoon tea, including a delicious birthday cake, for about 50 family and friends, including her two daughters, Anna and Victoria.
Did you know Ella used to own a frock shop in 1960 opposite the town hall (now the Foodland carpark) before moving in 1963 to the current ANZ site before expanding across two shop fronts?
Guests enjoyed a slide show, looking through a photo book, and Ella’s written memoirs (including a family tree) with her own artwork in it.
