The Regional Council of Goyder has honoured Shirley Broad with a plaque to celebrate 30 years of contribution to Burra as a
The plaque will be displayed alongside the path traversing the Burra Creek and bordering the garden Shirley has proudly created, landscaped and maintained.
Shirley can be seen every Tuesday, in all seasons, leading her group of gardeners, hard at work beautifying the creek for the locals and tourists to enjoy.
They start early and then break for a cuppa and a chat under the barbecue shelter south of the bridge.
Shirley has been volunteering in the garden since 1987.
