Doctor calls Australia home

Balaklava has some new residents who are finding the weather here a little bit chilly!

Dr Tendai Tagwira, her husband Mati Mashayamombe, and their three children, Tino, Ruvhe and Munashe, moved to Balaklava from Zimbabwe in mid July, and said they are enjoying the change of scenery.

“Our seasons are about the same times of the year, but our winters and summers are more moderate, so we’ve found it pretty cold,” Tendai said.

“Thank goodness for electric blankets though!” she laughed.

So why move halfway around the world to Australia?
