After being deferred a week due to the heat rule, the Australia Day two-person ambrose was held, and although hot again, a great numbering of 20 pairs competed.
Gross winner was the pairing of Ben Michael and Jason Gregory, with 70 off the stick, also having the best back nine score of 34.
Nett/handicap winners were John Michael and Colin Mutton with 60.25, (who had the best front nine score of 34), followed by Scott Michael and Ashley Baum on 62.50 (who also had the most birdies for the day), on a countback from David and Ingrid Brice.
In fourth place was Col Heslop and Merv Hameister with 64.25, from Clare visitors Bill Klaebe and Tim Moller 64.5, followed by Jill Taylor and Luke Buckley 65.25.
All winners received an assortment of ‘Aussie’ prizes, including barbecue packs, Vegemite and beer!
