Prepare to have ‘the best of times’ at vaudeville troupe’s new show

If there is one thing guaranteed, you will have ‘the best of times’ at Whyte Yarcowie Vaudeville Group’s new show which premieres on Saturday evening in Jamestown.

Founding troupe member and dancer extraordinaire, Judy Lewis says The Best of Times show will feature the song of the same name, and beautiful costumes painstakingly created by fellow founding member Pam Staker and the team.

“As the song goes, ‘the best of times is now, as for tomorrow, well, who knows? Who knows? Who knows? So hold this moment fast, and live and love as hard as you know how, and make this moment last, because the best of times is now,’” Judy said.

“I just love the song, I thought I knew every song in existence but I only came across this one a few years ago and it’s just great.”

Ever vibrant, Judy and her Whyte Yarcowie Vaudeville Troupe have been entertaining crowds across the Mid North for the past 34 years with its slapstick comedy and good, old-fashioned music and entertainment.

“We just try and make people happy and we include a lot of comedy in our shows, with beautiful costumes and old-time music,” Judy said.

“You can expect lots of laughter in this show. We just enjoy what we do and have a lot of fun and laughter and if you project that on stage it goes back through to the audience.
