The main street of Snowtown will soon have a stunning new tourist attraction.
Adelaide artist, Joel Van Moore and employee Sam Brooks, have been working day and night, creating a bold masterpiece on the old water tower which is located adjacent to the ARTC Provision Centre on Railway Terrace, behind a row of Aleppo pine trees.
The project is an initiative of the Snowtown Community Management Committee (SCMC), which hopes to attract travellers into the town, and eventually establish more murals in the main street.
Starting work on the mural last Tuesday (April 10), Joel had hoped the project would be finished by April 17, however the elements have interfered with the timeline somewhat.
“We’ve been very productive most days, but the weather has been trying,” Joel said.
