Did anyone guess August 6 as the date for the season break?
We’ve had lots of wind lately, with not much rain blown in behind it, however Monday saw widespread rain and even hail around the district.
This was a much-needed follow up rain from last Thursday, and will hopefully save the crops, and fill up the rainwater tanks ready for an expected dry summer.
According to the BOM weekly rainfall bulletin, rainfall ranged from 4mm in Blyth, 11mm at Eudunda, 16mm in Balaklava, 19mm in Port Broughton, 24mm in Brinkworth, 25mm in Port Wakefield and Yacka, to 30mm in Clare and 58mm in Auburn.
