JASON Sutton from Balaklava, in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo5, backed up his debut win with a podium finish in round four of the Track Time Motorsport Trophy at Mallala Motorsport Park on Sunday, July 29.
After only just obtaining his motorsport competitor’s licence from CAMS in June, he won his first event and came third in his second outing.
From 33 starters, he was only beaten by two former state champions, Duane Gent in a Commodore from Lewiston and Andrew Baohm in a Monaro from Eastwood.
Regularity is a form of motorsport where drivers nominate a lap time before their heat and are then given penalty points for every one tenth of a second they don’t obtain it.
