Plan to cover council’s assets

COUNCIL owned buildings including pools and halls could be improved, rebuilt or sold off under a new plan being developed by Wakefield Regional Council.

A draft Asset Management Plan for Buildings & Structures/Improvements was presented to council last week, itemising everything either council owned or built and leased on council land, totalling some $33 million in value.

Halls and museums make up more than half of that total asset value.
